Report shows increase in number of Victorian prisoners who escaped jail

Check those birthday cakes for bolt-cutters, an increasing number of Victorian prisoners are escaping jail.
The Victoria Police annual report says 194 prisoners escaped in 2014/15, up from 175 the year before and 156 in 2010/11.
There was also a 12.3 percent increase in people convicted of perverting the course of justice or committing perjury, from 783 in 2013/14 to 879 in 2014/15.
