Reese Witherspoon confirms 'Legally Blonde 3'
Reese Witherspoon has delighted fans after she confirmed there will be a Legally Blonde 3 film.
The actress posted a video on social media of her floating in a pool wearing the Elle Woods, the main protagonists, pink bikini.
The caption read: "It's true...# LegallyBlonde3."
Witherspoon starred as Elle Woods in the 2001 comedy, in which the fashion merchandising student enrolls in Harvard Law School to try to win back her ex-boyfriend.
It was a box-office hit and received Golden Globe nominations in both the best actress and best musical or comedy categories.
The movie led to the 2003 sequel "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde."
It was even adopted to the stage, with a Westend show in London.
Fans were ecstatic about the news, posting a torrent of comments on social media.
"I'm in heaven!" one fan exclaimed.
"Yes!! Finally!!" another added.
"We are going to the theatre in PINK to see this premiere!!!" another fan wrote in a message.
Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine company will produce the film along with MGM and the original film's producers, Marc Platt and Platt Productions president Adam Siegel.
