Red Cross expects SA blood donor drop
AAP
The Australian Red Cross is bracing for a slump in South Australian blood donors this month as winter gets into full swing.
The organisation's blood service says it expects up to 250 regular SA donors will cancel appointments each week in winter because they are sick with cold and flu symptoms.
To help fill the gap the state's emergency service workers are collectively aiming to make 1500 donations across the winter months.
