Raunchy photos outside a Surfers Paradise nightclub have caused a stir on the glitter strip.

Gold Coast gay nightclub MP's has been ordered by the national advertising review board to remove two sexually-explicit images from its front entrance, after receiving a public complaint.

One of the life-size photos features two women in g-strings, with a whip and handcuffs.

The second photo shows a man in his underwear, lifting up his shirt in a suggestive manner.

Ad Standard found MP’s had breached its advertising code of ethics.

 “Advertisements which depict women or men scantily clad, are generally acceptable, if relevant to the product.

The Panel noted that the product is a night club, not a strip club, and considered that images of women and men in their underwear is not directly relevant to the product.”

A spokesperson from MPs Nightclub told 9NEWS the venue used the images to attract crowds and apologised if anyone was offended.

The images will be changed within 48 hours.

MP's, the well known gay hotspot on Orchid Avenue in Surfers Paradise opened its doors for the first time in seven years in January.
