'Best medicine ever': Dam fills in drought-ravaged town
It wasn't quite Niagara Falls, but tumbling water has rarely looked so good as it did today in the drought-ravaged New South Wales town of Tenterfield.
The town has endured bushfires, dry dams and drought, but now locals have a reason to celebrate.
"Listening to the water over the spillway is better than the best song I've ever heard," resident Terry Dodds said.

Mayor - and local farmer - Peter Petty agreed.
"It's the best medicine ever and it's the biggest relief ever," he said.
"We've been praying for this for a long time and we are on the front foot now, so not the back foot."

The run-off from the rain continues to flow into the dam, putting the brown, cracked edges underwater.
Rain has fallen on many drought-stricken areas of New South Wales in the past week, but many in regional areas have warned that much more is needed before the drought is broken.
More rain is forecast for the weekend, particularly on the coast.
