WHAT WE LEARNED

* Australia will shortly be the largest exporter of LNG in the world, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull told MPs.

* Even a socialist government in France is cutting company tax - from 33 per cent to 28 per cent - Treasurer Scott Morrison reminded Labor MPs.

* The government is not scared of talking about new coal-fired power stations, Deputy PM Barnaby Joyce declared.

* For the first time agricultural exports will return $60 billion to the Australian economy with a little help from record cattle prices.

WHAT THE GOVERNMENT WANTED TO SPIN

We stand for more jobs, better jobs, more investment, encouragement to business to invest, bigger markets to send our goods and services and, above all, we stand for lower energy prices.

WHAT LABOR WANTED TO TALK ABOUT

Will the PM reassure the people of Australia, who have been shocked and sickened by the crimes that have been revealed through the royal commission into child sexual abuse, that he will do everything in his power to make sure this never happens again and that survivors get the justice and redress they deserve.
