'Never thought they'd even be born': Queensland triplets graduate high school

When the Moylan triplets were born three months premature, doctors weren't optimistic about their chance of survival.

But now, 18 years later, Chloe, Bel and Grace are graduating high school, with their mother, Lisa Moylan proudly looking on.

She said raising three girls on her own wasn't always easy and she's proud of how far they've come.

"When I was pregnant from 17 weeks, they just never thought they'd even be born, let alone be at this stage now."

9News has captured some of the girls' most important milestones, from taking their first steps into primary school, to today- their high school graduation.

Lisa Moylan reflects on the early days of school, with three sets of lunches to pack, shoes to tie and pigtails to arrange.

"Just when you think you've got it all done, there might be one of two that you've missed, little things and then it's three times," she said.

The girls graduated from Albany Creek State High School in Brisbane today.

"Really hectic and stressful, a lot going on," Chloe said of graduation day.

"It's been a crazy ride," Grace said.

"It's a bit emotional but exciting," Bel added.

Ms Moylan said the girls are looking forward to life after high school.

"They're amazing girls, they have a beautiful nature," she said.

"They're just really trying to pursue what they want to do in life, so I am just so proud of them."
