Queensland officials defend the cost of altered Translink logo
Queensland officials have defended the cost of an altered logo for the state's public transit agency.
The $110,000 design replaces Translink's old three-colour logo for hot pink and is similar to the US Department of Transportation logo.
It is the first time in about 20 years the logo has had an upgrade.

Treasurer Cameron Dick said the new design is easier to see and "already the customer feedback has been very strong".
"We want to make our public transport services accessible and visible to all," he said.
"We don't make any apology for ensuring that people can access public transport in a visible fashion."

The upgraded logo is a part of the rollout of the new smart ticketing system. 9News
The upgraded logo is a part of the rollout of the new smart ticketing system, which will allow passengers to tap their EFTPOS card or smartphone, which eliminates the need for a go card.
This will be similar to the system in place in New South Wales.
The treasurer said the cost of the change paled in comparison to logos rolled out by the federal government, including the infamous Women's Network logo.
