Experts warn snakes on the move ahead of Spring

Experts say snakes are on the move in South East Queensland as the weather warms up ahead of the start of Spring.

Snakes have been spotted sliding behind bins, into window sills, shoe racks, barbecues, and even a desk drawer, across the city.

Spring is mating season for snakes, so males in particular, are on the move.

"Whenever they do appear indoors, I can understand how that would come as a surprise," Janne Torkola from Brisbane Snake Out said.

If you do spot a snake, experts advice you to stay a safe distance away and call a professional snake catcher.
