Man pleads guilty to manslaughter over one-punch attack in KFC car park
A man has admitted killing a 50-year-old man in a one-punch attack at a Queensland KFC car park.
Conrad Joseph Carter, 35, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Wayne Tolmie, who died in hospital after being knocked to the ground in the June 2016 attack in Morayfield, north of Brisbane.
Carter was to stand trial for his murder in Brisbane Supreme Court today.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Despite indicating during legal argument yesterday it would try Carter for murder, the prosecution accepted his guilty plea to the lesser offence the following morning "in full satisfaction".
He has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on Thursday.

Soon after his death, Mr Tolmie's family and friends expressed shock at his death and described him as "one of a kind."
Jennifer Bowden, the aunt of Mr Tolmie, said there had been "a lot of crying" after Mr Tolmie and another friend died on the same day.
"May they both be at peace now and neither will be forgotten," Ms Bowden wrote on Facebook.
Carter was initially charged with grievous bodily harm, but police upgraded the charges to murder after Mr Tolmie's death.
