A Japanese warship has crashed into a dock at Brisbane’s Portside Wharf.
Just after 7.30am, the 14,000 tonne, 178 metre ship Kunisaki speared into the wharf as it attempted to pull out for Fisherman Island.
Witnesses told 9News the ship appeared way too close to shore and made a loud crunch on impact.

It appeared the crash caused only superficial damage and no one was injured.
The ship is in Brisbane ahead of exercises involving our own navy and the US.
