Man's body found after car swept into flooded Queensland creek

The body of an 86-year old man has been found in a car which was swept into a flooded creek in outback Queensland.

The man's body was found by police in Emu Creek, Danderoo around two and a half hours drive south-west of Brisbane on Friday.

He was from nearby Mount Colliery and had been reported missing earlier that day.

Officers believe his 2003 Toyota Camry was swept into floodwaters from Junabee Road.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
