A young girl has been "chased and terrorised" by two drivers as she walked home from school on the Sunshine Coast near where teenager Daniel Morcombe was abducted in 2003.

The 13-year-old was harassed after she got off the school bus near the Palmwoods Warriors Football Club fields on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the club's Facebook page, two cars "chased and terrorised" her as she started walking home.

"There was one occupant in each car, yelling things out the window like `we're gonna get you'," the post read.

The girl tried to evade the two drivers by taking refuge with a family at the sportsground.

When she thought they were gone, the teen decided to make a run for home.

"However, they must have been waiting somewhere else watching for her," the club said.

"They then attempted to box her in, with one car up each end trying to trap her."

The girl eventually made it home but was shaken by her ordeal.

The club says she's not a member but had issued a warning to parents to pick their kids up promptly from training.

The Jubilee Drive sportsground is only a short drive from the location where Daniel Morcombe, also aged 13, was abducted in 2003.
