Woman stabbed in leg at Townsville home

A young man allegedly stabbed a woman in the leg during a domestic violence incident in Townsville.

Police say the 19-year-old went to a home in inner-city Aplin Street about 1am on Sunday, put the 38-year-old woman in a headlock and stabbed her in the leg.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with wounding, wilful damage and threatening violence, while the victim was treated in the Townsville Hospital and released.
