Woman stabbed in Brisbane, man charged

A man who allegedly stabbed a woman and assaulted another man at a home in Brisbane's south has been charged with attempted murder.

The injured 26-year-old woman was found at the intersection of Gemstone Crescent and Gregory St in Acacia Ridge on Monday night.

She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition with stab wounds to her upper body and head.

An Afghanistan-born man, 36, has been charged with attempted murder, entering a dwelling with intent, and assaulting another man who was at the home at the time.

His case was briefly mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday and has been adjourned until Wednesday.
