A 72-year-old woman has been threatened at knifepoint by a pair of teenage car-jackers near a Gold Coast train station.
Police say the pair confronted the woman about 7.40am on Monday near the Varsity Lakes train station before speeding away in her car, heading south on the Gold Coast Highway.
However, they didn't get far, with officers intercepting the vehicle at Coolangatta after it sustained a punctured tyre.
