Woman killed in head-on collision in Qld

A woman has been killed in a head-on crash in central Queensland.

The woman in a four-wheel drive and a semi trailer collided on the Bruce Highway north of Proserpine about 12.30pm (AEST).

Police say the woman, aged in her 50s, died at the scene.

The incident closed the highway but late on Wednesday afternoon authorities had opened one lane.
