Woman bashed in Brisbane's north

A 24-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted at Petrie in Brisbane's north.

Police say she was found on a street at around 8.30pm on Friday but due to the extent of her injuries officers have not been able to speak with her.

A crime scene has been established and police have appealed to members of the public to come forward if they have any information on the attack.
