Detectives probe double shooting in Qld

A shooting in Queensland has left two men with gunshot wounds, with one in a critical condition.

A 69-year-old was shot in the torso and presented to Bundaberg Base Hospital about 3am on Friday.

Police were notified and were en route to a home at Woodgate, near Childers, when they found a 30-year-old with injuries to his hand.

Both men are being treated and the older man is in a critical condition, a Bundaberg Hospital spokesman says.

The men are under police guard and a crime scene has been established at the Woodgate home.

It's unclear what sparked the shooting and police have appealed for witnesses.
