Two more men arrested over Dufty murder

Queensland detectives will seek the extradition of two more men charged over the murder of Gold Coast man Greg Dufty.

The 37-year-old itinerant pool builder was last seen in July 2015 and police believe he was beaten to death.

Three people have already been charged over the killing, which detectives believe was a carefully-planned revenge attack after the victim stole a large number of cannabis plants.

Queensland police on Tuesday revealed a 22-year-old man from Oxenford had been arrested by Sydney detectives and charged with murder.

He was due to appear in a NSW court.

A 28-year-old man was also taken into custody by Victorian authorities following the search of a property on Monday night.

Police say he had previously been charged but the offences were upgraded to include murder.

The second man was also expected to appear in court, in Victoria, on Tuesday.

"Gold Coast and State Crime Command Homicide Detectives will travel together to the respective states today to seek extradition of both men," police said.

New Zealand national Aaron John Crawford, who was extradited from Auckland in November, Lionel Patea and Liam Bliss have also been charged in relation to Mr Dufty's death.

In February, police found weapons believed to have been used in the crime after a two-day search of a property outside Casino in northern NSW, where Mr Dufty's body was believed to have been dumped.

A fifth man, Clinton Stockman, has also been implicated after he allegedly helped dispose of the body, which police believe was burnt after Mr Dufty was murdered.
