Two found dead in tent at north Queensland campsite

Police are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman, after a passer-by spotted their legs poking out of a tent in a campground near Townsville.

The passer-by discovered the bodies when they approached the tent at the Rollingstone site yesterday afternoon, police said.

The pair, believed to be aged in their 40s, were unresponsive and covered in flies.

Police were called to the scene and are investigating, with detectives yet to comment on whether the deaths are considered suspicious.
