Two bodies found at Qld house fire site

An early morning house fire has claimed the lives of two people at a property west of Brisbane.

Firefighters arrived just after 4.30am on Saturday to find the single-storey home at Miles well alight.

The bodies of two people were found within the residence, which was levelled by the devastating blaze, police confirmed.

A crime scene has now been established and forensic officers will try to investigate the cause of the fire.

They will also formally identify the two deceased people.
