He was taken to hospital but later died as a result of his injuries.

The accident followed another smash that claimed the life of a 61-year-old motorcyclist at Kabra, central Queensland.

The Rockhampton man died at the scene and another motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man, was taken to Rockhampton Base Hospital with severe leg injuries after a car coming from the opposite direction and the riders' bike collided at 3.40pm on Friday.

The car's driver, a 26-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Rockhampton Base Hospital for treatment.
