Two charged, one wanted over north Queensland murder

Two local men have been charged over the murder of 29-year-old Tyrone Baynton in Mackay, north Queensland earlier this month.

Police on Wednesday said a 24-year-old has been charged with murder and armed robbery, while a 26-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter.

Both will appear at Mackay Magistrates Court later today.

Police are still hunting for a third man, 29-year-old Mala Owen Geissler, who is thought to be still in the area.

Baynton was found stabbed to death in the yard of his North Mackay property on October 11.
