Truck crash closes Queensland highway

Police have closed the Cunningham Highway, southwest of Brisbane, after a truck carrying dangerous chemicals crashed overnight.

It is understood the male driver lost control of the B-Double truck, which was carrying liquid anhydrous ammonia, at Cunninghams Gap around 9pm on Wednesday but was not injured.

Police have set up a 500-metre exclusion zone around the site because of the dangerous nature of the chemical and the road is expected to remain closed until around 4pm.
