Townsville man kicks, bites police

A Queensland man has been charged with assault after allegedly kicking a police officer in the groin and biting another officer on the leg in Townsville.

The 34-year-old man attacked the officers while he was being arrested for creating a disturbance in Townsville on Friday night.

He was charged with two counts of serious assault police and one count of commit public nuisance and obstruct police.

The man is expected to appear at Townsville Magistrates Court on August 31.
