Three teens lead Qld police on pursuit

Three 17-year-old boys have been arrested after a stolen vehicle was pursued and stopped by police on the Gold Coast.

Police spotted a stolen car being driven in a dangerous manner at 7.30pm on Friday in Helensvale, but the driver sped away when officers tried to intercept the vehicle.

Road spikes were successfully used and the car collided with an unmarked police car.

Two youths were arrested at the scene while a third fled and was later tracked down by a police dog in bushland.

One of the two officers in the unmarked police vehicle sustained minor injuries in the incident.
