Three people injured after car slams into Brisbane bus shelter

Three people have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a car crashed into a bus shelter in Brisbane this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Upper Roma Street after the small sedan mounted the curb and slammed into the bus stop about 2.30pm
A man and a woman in aged in their 60s, along with a woman in her 20s, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to hospital, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
One of the patients was the driver of the car, she said.
Dr Stephen Rashford, QAS Medical Director, said the patients had sustained soft issue injuries and fractures.
“The people in the bus shelter have certainly had a lucky escape," Dr Rashford said.
The inbound bus lane on Upper Roma Street remained closed until 5pm, however outbound services were not affected.
