Teens arrested over Qld car break-ins

Four teenagers have been arrested after a spate of car break-ins and an assault on a man on the Gold Coast.

The man had head and neck injuries after he was attacked by a group of youths who were trying to break into his car at Surfers Paradise in the early hours of Monday, police said.

It's believed the same group had earlier broken into and damaged multiple cars in separate incidents in Bundall and Tugun.

Queensland police say they arrested a 15-year-old boy at Varsity Lakes on Monday night, while officers in NSW arrested two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old at Tweed Heads South on Monday afternoon.
