Girl, 15, charged over Coolangatta stabbing of another girl

A 15-year-old girl has been charged over a stabbing at a bus stop on the Gold Coast.

Police say a 16-year-old girl was stabbed in the stomach during a brawl with a group of teenage girls in Coolangatta on Monday afternoon.

She was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital where she underwent surgery.

A 15-year-old Tweed Heads girl has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding.
