Teenager airlifted to hospital after snake bite on K'gari

A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after being bitten by a snake on K'gari last night.
The boy was walking outside in the dark near his accommodation when he was bitten on the leg by a snake.
A LifeFlight helicopter was called to the scene, while his parents applied first-aid.

The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted a teenager to hospital. LifeFlight
The helicopter landed on a grassed area on the eastern side of the island at 8.55pm.
Paramedics treated the teen before driving him to the helicopter.
He was airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
