Teenage escapee on the run in Queensland

A 17-year-old is on the run after escaping police custody and stealing a car in Queensland's central highlands.
The teen broke free from police as he was being taken from a courthouse on Tuesday afternoon in Emerald.
He ran ran to a nearby backyard and stole a white 2010 Nissan Navara with number plates 089 WJU.

He was last seen about 70km south of Emerald in Springsure.
He is 180cm tall with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees the car or teen is urged to contact police.
