A luxury car stolen from Brisbane Broncos player Darius Boyd was allegedly sold for drugs.

Boyd's Audi, stolen last month, was allegedly found in the possession of 19-year-old Hayley Anne Gilliespie on the weekend.

Police allege Gilliespie bought the luxury car for a quantity of ice and had the number plates changed.

She was tracked to a Kangaroo Point motel on Saturday and arrested after allegedly evading police several times.

Boyd's white Audi, found in the motel carpark, had reportedly been spray-painted black.

Gilliespie faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday on eight charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and three counts of failing to stop.

Duty lawyer Rosemary Gilbert indicated the teen would plead guilty to the charges in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Friday, when she is due to appear on other matters.

Gilliespie did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody by Magistrate Paul Kluck.

Police believe the theft of Boyd's car is related to a spate of thefts targeting Broncos players.
