Taxi review to be independent: Qld govt

A review of Queensland's taxi industry will be independent, the state government says.

Deputy Premier Jackie Trad has brushed off concerns about donations of $16,500 from the Taxi Council of Queensland and $50,000 from Cabcharge to the Labor party in 2014-15, promising the review will be independent.

"We will get someone outside of government to conduct this review," she told ABC Radio.
