'Suspicious item' near Beenleigh station

Police have set up an exclusion zone and closed roads near a Logan train station following reports of a "suspicious item" nearby.

Officers were called to Macs Lane near Beenleigh station late on Monday afternoon to investigate and the explosives unit is now on site.

All Beenleigh, Gold Coast and Airport line trains are suspended in both directions between Kuraby and Ormeau stations, with Translink advising customers to expect delays up to one hour.
