'Suspicious device' at Qld showground

Bomb squads are investigating reports of a suspicious device in a car at a southeast Queensland showground.

Police received the call to Boonah Showgrounds about 8.30am on Friday but say the area has not been evacuated.

Reports a threatening letter was left with a white van could not be confirmed by police.
