Support for Queensland Labor and LNP tied

Support for Queensland's main political parties has tied, while Premier Campbell Newman has slightly improved his standing, the latest Newspoll shows.

Mr Newman's government has suffered a four-point drop in support since the previous quarterly poll in September when it held a 54-46 per cent lead over Labor.

But the percentage of voters satisfied with the way the premier is doing his job has increased three percentage points to 38 per cent, the poll, conducted for News Corp Australia shows.

Mr Newman also slightly improved his standing as preferred premier from 41 per cent to 44 per cent.

Queensland Labor improved its primary vote from 32 per cent to 36 per cent, while the Greens are stable on 10 per cent.
