Sun, then rain for Qld long weekend

Queenslanders should enjoy a largely sun-soaked long weekend but may find their extra day off a little soggy.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting Brisbane will enjoy maximum temperatures in the high 20s on Saturday and Sunday.

It's expected to be similarly warm on the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, with sunny skies and light winds over the two-day period.

But there's a very high chance of rain for the Queen's Birthday public holiday across the southeast on Monday afternoon and evening.
