Snow watch in Queensland's Granite Belt

A cold burst could bring snow to Sunshine State, with the chance of a light dusting on the Granite Belt in the Darling Downs.

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Annabelle Ford says there is a 20 to 30 per cent chance of light snow falling on Monday night.

"There's a slight chance of sleet or light snow, more likely sleet, around the Granite Belt. It's cold but it's also a bit dry so there's not enough moisture to get the proper snow," she told AAP.
