Six teens stranded in remote Queensland

A search is underway for six teens who have gone missing on the Queensland-Northern Territory border.

The five boys and one girl were last seen by a pilot next to their stranded vehicle between two flooded creeks on May Downs Road about 3.30pm (AEST) on Saturday.

The teenagers are all about 15 to 16 and from Mount Isa, police said.

An air search is underway, but a land search isn't possible due to local conditions.
