Seven victims of the Ravenshoe cafe explosion are still fighting for their lives in hospital after a second person died as a result of the freak accident.
Margaret Clark became the blast's second fatality when she passed away on Sunday night in the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital's intensive care burns unit.
The 82-year-old grandmother was among those critically injured when a four-wheel-drive utility ploughed into the back of the Serves You Right Cafe last Tuesday and triggered a gas explosion.
Her death follows that of 37-year-old Nicole Nyholt, who had been managing the cafe for her holidaying parents Vicki and Hans, on Friday.
A RBWH spokesperson confirmed on Monday afternoon seven people, with ages ranging from 43 to 75, remain in a critical condition.
Two others - a 48-year-old man and 20-year-old woman - are in a stable condition.
