Second man charged in echidna abduction

A second man has been charged over the abduction of Piggie the echidna from a Gold Coast wildlife sanctuary.
The 25-year-old Tugun man is set to face Southport Magistrates Court on August 17, charged with receiving tainted property and animal cruelty.
The charges come after a 24-year-old man faced court on Tuesday, following a police tip-off to a selfie he allegedly took with the echidna.
