Search resumes for missing Qld teen

Police and SES volunteers are continuing to search for a 15-year-old girl who vanished in central Queensland almost a week ago.

A search of bushland and abandoned buildings in the small town of Clermont failed to find any trace of Kaitlyn Earl-Rowe on Monday.

The hunt will continue on Tuesday, and her father Jason Earl has turned to social media to appeal for information about his beautiful girl.

"We are deeply concerned for her safety and desperately need to hear she is ok," he wrote on Facebook.

"We are a small community and this is the first time something like this has ever happened here and it's not just affecting us, it is the whole town."

Kaitlyn hasn't been seen or heard from since she visited a Clermont home on Wednesday night.

Police are very concerned for her welfare, given how long she's been missing.

"To our knowledge she had very little in the way of money and we don't know where she could have got to," Detective Inspector Dave Tucker has told ABC radio.

Kaitlyn is Caucasian, 162cm tall with long straight brown hair, a slim build and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a black dress, black tights and a black and green baseball cap with "YO!" written in green.
