Almost 200 meatworkers made redundant after the closure of an abattoir west of Brisbane will get new jobs, with help from the state government.

JBS Australia will hire 186 people disadvantaged when Ipswich's Churchill abattoir and its meat processing plants at Wacol and Dinmore closed up.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the government would provide support to JBS to employ the workers under its Jobs and Regional Growth Fund.
