RSPCA Qld wants answers over horse death

RSPCA Queensland is calling for help as it investigates the mysterious death of a horse found mutilated on the Gold Coast.

Angie, a 21-year-old mare, was discovered by her owners in a shallow dam at Courtney Road, Upper Coomera on August 12 with all four legs severed around the knee and hock joints.

RSPCA Inspector Sommer Heath-Crilley said the absence of blood at the scene was baffling and the RSPCA has urged anyone with information to come forward.
