Roof-top protest ends at Qld centre

A group of young inmates is expected to be charged after damaging the roof of a detention centre in Brisbane.
Seven inmates climbed onto the roof of the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol about 2pm on Monday, amid a disturbance during which a male staff member suffered an eye injury.
The youths were back in secure custody 12 hours later but are expected to face charges over damage done to the roof during their lengthy stand-off with authorities.
