Review to look at Qld council complaints

Deputy Premier Jackie Trad has announced a review of complaint processes against Queensland's local councillors.

Ms Trad, also the state's local government minister, says the independent review, to be led by former Integrity Commissioner David Solomon, will take about six months.

"The review will ... make recommendations about policy, legislative and operational changes required to improve the system of dealing with complaints about councillors' conduct," Ms Trad told parliament on Thursday.
