Stranded bushwalkers rescued from Queensland mountain

Two stranded bushwalkers have been rescued overnight after an eight-hour ordeal in South-East Queensland.

State Emergency Service volunteers escorted the men out of the bush after the pair became stuck during scorching temperatures on Mount Greville yesterday.

Three people were initially in the walking party, with one of the group members able to reach the bottom of the mountain top and call for help.

The men were not injured but they suffered from exhaustion.
