Rare gun could hold key to Qld cold case
AAP
A rare gun could help crack the cold case of a hitchhiker murdered in far north Queensland more than 30 years ago.
Anthony "Tony" Jones went missing in November 1982 and police believe he was murdered in the Hughenden area, west of Townsville.
They're now hoping to find the .22 calibre Voere rifle he had with him when he vanished and use it to track down his killer.
