Queensland Police and Australian Federal Police headquarters in Brisbane placed into lockdown

The headquarters of Queensland Police and the nearby Australian Federal Police building in Brisbane have been placed into lockdown after a security scare. 

The Roma St office of Queensland Police has been partially locked down, with armed guards at the entrance and heightened security measures enacted for visitors.

It is understood authorities received intelligence from interstate this morning but the threat was not to the QPS building itself.

Meanwhile, the AFP have confirmed they received a bomb threat this morning to their Wharf St, Spring Hill headquarters, with sniffer dogs sweeping the building. 

Investigations are continuing.
